You can use Planello at no cost, in your browser at planello.app or as the desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux. These terms apply to the website, the browser version and the desktop app (together, "Planello").

Planello is not open source. It is copyrighted software: © 2026 Planello, all rights reserved. Being free to use does not give you any other rights in Planello, such as the right to copy, modify, sell or redistribute it, or to use its name and logo.

No warranty

Planello is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. This includes, without limitation, any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. We do not promise that Planello will be free of errors, work without interruption, or keep your data safe.

Use at your own risk

You use Planello at your own risk, and you are responsible for how you use it and for the results. In particular:

• Keep your own backups. Export boards you care about regularly.
• Check the work of Planello AI and of any agent you connect before you rely on it.
• Do not use Planello as the only record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the authors and contributors of Planello are not liable for any claim, damages or other liability arising from, out of or in connection with Planello or its use. This includes direct, indirect, incidental, special and consequential damages, such as loss of data, profits, revenue or business, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, even if we were told such damage was possible.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions above apply as far as the law allows.

Your data

Boards, documents and settings are stored on your device: in your browser's storage when you use Planello on the web, and on your computer in the desktop app. Clearing your browser data, uninstalling Planello or a device failure can delete them, and we cannot recover them for you.

AI features

Planello AI and the agents you connect generate content and change your boards automatically. Their output can be incomplete or wrong. When you use Planello AI, your messages and the board content needed to answer them are sent to the AI service that processes them.

Third-party services

Some features rely on services run by others, such as the AI provider behind Planello AI and Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that AI requests come from a person. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they process. AI subscriptions you connect in the desktop app, such as Claude or Codex, are governed by your agreement with that provider.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed.
